Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking drivers are paid based on practical miles. This means drivers are paid for 3-5 percent more total miles per year than companies that pay based on short route miles. The most productive 50 percent of our OTR drivers average more than $83,000 per year. The CarrierMate™ is an advanced touch screen electronic on-board recorder / electronic logging device (AOBRD/ELD), which has been developed with the driver’s convenience in mind. Our drivers get the added benefits of personal attention that mega carriers just can’t match with a 25 to 1 Driver to Fleet Manager ratio. Don’t talk to a Qualcomm unit, talk to your Fleet Manager; Home time varies based upon where you live in our freight network. Some drivers are home weekly while others are home every 3-4 weeks.

Carrier Driver Jobs
Entities that employ CDL drivers must register in the Clearinghouse as employers. This includes CDL drivers who are self-employed and operate under their own USDOT Numbers. Registering as an employer enables these users to conduct queries and report drug and alcohol program violations, as well as designate consortia/third-party administrators (C/TPAs).
Watch this learning module for a step-by-step overview of the employer Clearinghouse registration process, including information on how to link a Clearinghouse account with an existing FMCSA Portal account.
