Woodside, CA (June 25, 2020) – On June 23, authorities were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Interstate 280.
Reports from authorities show that 61-year-old Mark Alarcon, a Freeway Service Patrol worker, was assisting the driver of a vehicle along the interstate when he was struck by a lumber truck. Alarcon sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was immediately declared deceased. The California Highway Patrol closed the road for several hours as they began investigating the incident. At this time, investigations are ongoing.
