The Beamz Interactive Music System is easy to play, and includes everything you need to actually create music! It can replicate the sounds of over 100 instruments and sound variations, spanning over 20 musical genres. Students and teachers worldwide have discovered how interactive music can open up new worlds for those with special needs. It is impossible to get anything wrong, make a mistake, or 'fail,'½ students of every cognitive and physical ability can actively participate.
A recording feature allows students' work on the Beamz system to be saved as a .wav file, to keep or to show off to teachers, therapists, parents, or friends. The Beamz works as an excellent incentive or 'reward'½ tool for students. Many educators and therapists have used Beamz in this way.
While it can be played alone, the system naturally 'invites'½ others to join in--up to twelve students can play at once! The Beamz interfaces easily with interactive whiteboards, classroom PCs and projectors. The Beamz can help students take on class-leadership roles and learn collaboration (i.e. one person 'leads'½ with the Beamz while others play other instruments).
Each system comes with a C4 laser controller, 6 feet of USB cable, quick install guide and two DVDs. The installation DVD holds not only the Beamz Player Software, but 50 interactive songs and the game ShadowBeamz, which tests players' skill and timing as they break the beams of light along with the rhythm of the playing song. A music appreciation DVD includes a further thirty interactive songs, training videos, and lesson plans for integrating the Beamz Interactive Music System into classes.
Beamz is universally designed so that you can provide your patients and clients with as much, or as little, support as they may need to make incremental progress. Beamz lasers can be triggered by:
- physically interrupting the laser beam with any body part or object
- using an adapted keyboard
- attaching an interface and switch
- utilizing a computer or IOS smart device with a touchscreen or interactive whiteboard

    The ShadowBeamz interactive music game requires: Adobe Flash 10.0 or greater (free download available from Adobe).
